M57 – The ring nebula


Took this the same night as the M27 image, it’s a shorter total exposure length, being only 15 x 60sec subs – same setup, F4 Newt/QHY8

M57 is another Planetary nebula – an exploded star and is in the constellation of Lyra.  It’s a tiny object as you can see from the full frame image and through a telescope looks like a little smoke ring in space!
