My attempts at astro imaging

CSOG Spring party – NHC2903

Last weekend was the Central Scotland Observers Group spring star party. As in previous years we hired the old manse in Hownam for the weekend. On both nights we had long periods of clear skies, Friday it clouded over shortly after midnight and Saturday it clouded over shortly before midnight but then cleared later.

This is the first of 2 images, NGC2903, it is one of the brighter galaxies and lies in Leo, some 30 Million Light Years away. I got about 5hrs in 10 min subs and have been playing around with the data all week, this is what I came up with…..
